Carol Vorderman revealed that she refuses to let doctors disclose her weight during medical checkups. She also shared insights into herĀ diet, admitting that she doesnā€™t cook at home and enjoys eating her favorite foods like pasta, fish, and chips without worrying about their calorie count.

In addition to consuming a lot of healthy vegetables, the 62-year-old also indulges in low-calorie snacks.

During theĀ Table MannersĀ podcast, Carol shared the contents of her fridge with hosts Jessie and Lennie Ware. She said: ā€œLots of vegetables, a bit of coleslaw, fish, turmeric shots, which I love, fruit, Greek yoghurt, cottage cheese. If I go and stay in other peopleā€™s houses, Iā€™m always amazed at what theyā€™ve got in the fridge. But I donā€™t cook at home now you see.ā€

She continued: ā€œWhen I go out, Iā€™ll eat what I want. I donā€™t feel in denial at all. So, when I go out, Iā€™ll have what I like. Good pasta I love. I donā€™t like sloppy pasta. I love butter. I love fish and chips, nice fish and chips, I donā€™t like French fries ā€“ proper old-fashioned big chips.ā€

Carol Vorderman confessed to undergoing a 28-day detox diet in 1999 to shed some pounds but has refrained from weighing herself ever since.

ā€œGo back to my thirties, and my husband Paddy who I loved and adored, we loved pasta and all of that, but I was working really hard and I just got to the point where I was eating just to stay alive, stay awake. And I put on a bit of weight and I didnā€™t like that. So, I started this detox diet. It was slated by nutritionists at the time because it was 28 days detox diet. No meat, no wheat, no dairy, no sugar, for 28 days,ā€ said Carol.

She added: ā€œThen it was all ā€˜no, you canā€™t do thatā€™. Now itā€™s like standard. This was for 28 days to sort of give all your organs a way of naturally detoxing. I was super high on veggies, not potatoes. I wonā€™t buy normal potatoes because of the detox ā€“ changed everything I bought.ā€

ā€œAfter the detox diet, I havenā€™t weighed myself since 1999 ā€“ donā€™t know what I weigh. I wonā€™t let anyone tell me what I weigh ā€“ you know when you go for medicals. And by and large, when Iā€™m home, I eat quite well. But if somebodyā€™s bought me chocolates or whatever it might be, Iā€™ll just find Iā€™ll just eat them before Iā€™ll go to the vegetables so I canā€™t have it in the house. Iā€™m very happy ā€“ thatā€™s all Iā€™ve known for 20 years.ā€
